Press Release Body = In the Annual General Meeting of Computer Association of Eastern India held on September 23 in Kolkata, K. L. Lalani of Lalani Infotech Ltd. has been unanimously elected the President of COMPASS for the period of 2006-2007.
He is taking over from the former President, V. K. Bhandari. He has earlier served as the President of the association in 1994 as well. The new Executive Committee has also been formed in the meeting.

K. Enterprise and Vinay Dugar- Supreme Technologies (P) Ltd.
The association recently announced the dates of COMPASS exhibition. This much-awaited Infotech Show of the East is scheduled to organized at Netaji Indoor Stadium, Kolkata from November17 to 20 this year. COMPASS happens to be one of the large-scale computers and peripheral shows held in the east and attracts the maximum number of visitors. The organizers are very much enthusiastic to hold up a similar show this year also.
Pawan Jajodia, Chairman of the COMPASS executive committee informed, \"This year we will be stressing on the digital convergence aspect and it will be the prevailing theme of the expo as well. Discussions have been held to make the event a memorable one and the decision would be made shortly.\"
The other details including the names of the sponsors will be disclosed on Sept 27 tentatively, said Jajodia.
